Don't be frightened by solicitors letters
Explore you options of selling or renting out your property
Keep a log of any conversation between you and the lender/solicitor
Keep a copy of all letters, bank statements etc
Avoid borrowing more money if you can, it will probably make things worse
Turn up at court, otherwise it's likely the judge will rule in the lenders favour
Never just hand the keys back, you are liable for the shortfall if sold by the lender
